Seki Traditional Swordsmith Museum Newly Renovated

May 1 , 2018
In order to accommodate more spectators and provide a better experience for visitors who don’t speak Japanese, Seki has renovated the sword-forging area at the Seki Traditional Swordsmith Museum.
Major renovations include:
*Viewing area expansion (100 seats and a standing area for 20)
*Outer walls to prevent rain and wind from disrupting the forging performance
*Four monitors (three inside and one outside) to explain the production process of Japanese swords in English and Chinese

Along with the renovations, standard public sword-forging performances will now cost an additional fee to view (the Uchizome-shiki and Cutlery Festival Performances will remain free):
Adults: ¥300
High School Students: ¥200
Middle and Primary School Students: ¥100
