Release of the 2018 Gujo Odori (Dance) Festival Schedule

February 1 , 2018
The Gujo Odori, one of Japan's Three Great Bon-Dance Festivals, remains unchanged since the time it first began over 400 years ago and is particularly famous for its four-day period of "tetsuya" all-night dancing.

The atmosphere of the Gujo Odori is especially friendly, and everyone is encouraged to participate; this allows you to not only “watch,” but actually “experience” this old tradition as the locals do.

If you are planning a trip to Gifu (or central Japan) this summer, why not check and see if there will be any dance festivals being held during your stay?
